What is this?
Amelia Island is the most popular "Staycation" destination in Northeast Florida. The ride starts and finishes at the Main Beach. Bring your bathing suit and cool off in the ocean after the ride. (Yes, there is a fresh water shower to rinse off the salt and sand before you go home)
This ride is for a variety of levels with multiple ride leaders and with no rider left behind. For the rides through Ft Clinch, visitors who have a state park pass are allowed 8 entries into the park so bring your pass if you have one so that we can avoid the $2 entry for everyone.
The A/B 41 mile ride will r
ide thru scenic Fort Clinch State Park, ride to Old Town Overlook, ride along Front St, Horse Farm Loop, Crane Island, Dog Park, ride to the end of the island, Burnie Park, and famous Atlantic Beach.
The B/C/S 28 mile route will also ride through
Fort Clinch State Park, visit Old Town Overlook, ride down along Front Street, Horse Farm, and the dog park.

Water stop at the fort with restrooms. Ride to Egan’s Creek Greenway ( great birding, ride along the creek, might get see a Gator) ride to Crane Island trail to pier overlooking Amelia River, back through the Creek to Main Beach.
Gravel ride: Types of bikes required: Gravel bike with 38mm tire or greater, MTB’s. A touring or CX bike could work, but has a better chance of getting bogged down in the loose sections.
