About this event

You really get to enjoy the beauty of Amelia Island on this ride.

We do this ride twice per week on Thursday from 9:00 and on Saturdays from 8:30. Why twice per week?  Well, some of our locals are busy on Saturdays and our weekend warriors cannot ride on Thursdays. The later start time on Thursdays helps us avoid the school bus traffic.  The ride meets in the NW corner of the parking lot near the skateboard park.

Amelia Island Cycling Main Beach Ride

We do a short jaunt along the beach before riding through Fort Clinch State Park. After taking a short break at the fort the ride heads out to the hills and to Dee Dee Bartels Boat Ramp. We then head south on the west side of Amelia Island and take another short break at the dog park near the airport. We then go a little further south and ride north along the beach back to the starting location.

We often post pictures of our rides a few hours after they finish on the Amelia Island Cycling google group. You can find it by clicking below.
