Just a friendly reminder: tomorrow is our group ride.

05/07 8:30 am. Tour de Durbin. We will use the short route (28 miles) from the TGI Thursday Tour de Durbin Crossing. There will be a large group leaving from the basketball courts at 8:00. We will not start with them. Instead, we will start from the dog park / skateboard park parking lot at 8:30 am. That is the first parking lot to the right after you enter Veterans Park. There will be a rest stop at about the 16 or 17 mile mark. It will be at an older convenience store in Orangedale. Use this link to get the start location and to get a map and cue sheet: http://nfbc.us/content.aspx?page_id=87&club_id=597416&item_id=511565

If you can't make it, try to get in a 2-hour ride some time in the weekend.

I am about to take off for the North Georgia Mountains. I will be back in time for the Sunday group training ride. We will be doing Callahan-to-Kings Ferry ride. This is the regular NFBC ride for Sunday. Please go to NFBC.US and print a copy of the map and cue sheet for the 38-mile option. Word of warning: Check the cue sheet or map to see how far we will ride before the first and only store stop.

Tomorrow is the next group training ride. It will start at:

Veterans Park,
1332 Veterans Pkwy.,
St. Johns, FL 32259.

We will meet in the skateboard and dog park parking lot (the first right after you enter the park). In time for the riders’ safety briefing at 8:00 AM. There will be a large group of cyclists leaving from the parking lot next to the basketball courts. Try not to get drawn into their parking and pre-ride rituals.

I have modified the normal NFBC Tour de Durbin route to avoid some heavily trafficked roads later in the morning. Attached is the cue sheet in both spreadsheet format and text format. Choose whichever works best for you. We will be doing 42 miles and will have store stops available at 20 miles and at 34 miles.

If you have any questions, call or text me.
