Armstrong Trail Ride Saturday May 17th cancelled.
No ride leader. Several regular riders are attending the memorial ride for JP:
"JP Deschenes was known and loved by many and it only seems fitting that we continue to ride in his memory. Therefore, a ride is planned for Saturday May 17 on the Palatka-Lake Butler trail. The plan is to start at the trailhead in Florahome with wheels rolling at 0900 and head to Keystone Heights before heading up to the Mike Roess Goldhead Branch State Park. We can then ride within the park before heading back to a lunch stop at Johnny’s in Keystone Heights. From there it is about 12 miles back to Florahome. This route will give a ride of about 38 miles. If a longer or shorter ride is desired then starting at one of the trailheads further east or west could allow that. This will be a social no-drop ride with rest stops as needed. I expect a moving average speed of 12-14 mph for planning purposes. If inclement weather conditions prevent the ride on May 17 the alternate date is one week later on May 24, same time and place.
