2) Wear an NFBC or major event jersey during the event.
3) Sign the NFBC Travel Team ride sheet and follow all NFBC ride rules.

About this event

PLEASE NOTE: A tropical storm/ hurricane is forecast to pass through the ride location on the Friday before the Saturday event. 





Join the NFBC Travel Team for the Plains, Trains and Bike Chains Ride in Cordele, Georgia.  It is located just north of Tifton on I-75 (about 3 hours/ 210 miles from downtown Jacksonville).

 Plains, Trains and Bike Chains is an annual event highlighting the historical town of Plains, the SAM Shortline train, and the beautiful scenic country roads that this part of Georgia has to offer. It is scheduled annually to occur the weekend of the big Plains Peanut Festival.

The 2024 edition of the ride is an extra special event to celebrate the upcoming 100th birthday of the only U.S. President from Georgia!  

There are several start locations options, but the NFBC Travel Team will start from The Georgia Veterans State Park Depot at 2459 US Highway 280W, Cordele, GA

For distances less than 100 miles there will be transportation back to the start.  Please check the details on the ride website:
