What is this?
Amelia Island is the most popular "Staycation" destination in Northeast Florida. The ride starts and finishes at the Main Beach. Bring your bathing suit and cool off in the ocean after the ride. (Yes, there is a fresh water shower to rinse off the salt and sand before you go home)
This ride is for a variety of levels with multiple ride leaders and with no rider left behind. The ride starts at Main Beach and travels through the south along the beaches of Amelia Island and the Talbots Islands.
The B/C/S 18 mile route rides south to Burney Beach Side Park for a short break before heading north up the west side of Amelia Island.
Burney
Park has water & restrooms.
The A/B 43 mile ride follows A1A south to the Fort George Inlet. At this point we follow the bicycle trails north along the Talbot Island. Then we cross the Amelia Island bridge and ride up the Burney Beach Side Park for a short break before heading north up the west side of Amelia Island
